What? Two Posts in a Week?!?!

I know, I must be on to something right?

I've decided that since I am keeping track of my progress on my Nook, that I might as well keep track here on my "fitness" blog too. So all of you that read it can hold me accountable.

( thanks for reading Casey, pretty sure you are the only one who does.)

Since today is Saturday I will do a recap of my week.

Monday: We'll call that day a wash. Haha. I didn't get a workout in and I overdid it on the pasta. It was girls night out ( yep, on a Monday. We are just CRAZY girls ;).

Not really, we are just a bunch of moms wishing that Book Club would work out, and enjoyed a nice dinner without any kids.

Tuesday: Valentines Day. I did great all day with my food intake. And even made it to the gym with the Hubs. I got in 15 mins on the elliptical, 15 mins on the treadmill at a 9.0 incline, and about 15 mins of working my back and shoulder muscles. Then we decided to treat ourselves to a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. I went over my calorie amount by 200. Not too bad though. And I was able to get an extra "workout" session in. ;)

It's Valentines, people!

Wednesday: Did pretty good with my food today. Had a "GREEN" smoothie for breakfast ( which I do about 5 out of 7 mornings). It really is so good and gives you veggies first thing in the morning.

I know what you are thinking,

"EWW, GROSS!"

But really, I add 1-2 cups of baby spinach, half a banana, 1/2 cup frozen berries, 1/2 plain greek yogurt, 1 scoop whey protien powder, and about 1/4 cup milk. So, it's mostly fruits, but the spinach is a good leafy green and you don't even know it's there!

Then Wednesday night, I went to the gym to try out a new class: BODY PUMP.

IT WAS AWESOME!

My muscles are still a little tender and it's been three days! It was an hour of a full body weight lifting experience. It was tough and fabulous, and I can't wait to go back!

Thursday: Added in a few more veggies today. Mainly spinach, celery, and carrotts.

I'm starting to really enjoy snacking on fruits and veggies. I love that I don't feel guilty after a snack, and dread having to enter it into my LOSE IT app.

Spent an hour doing ZUMBA. Fabulous workout. An hour goes by so fast. I still can't believe that I was a cheerleader for 3 years! You would never know, by the way I zumba! hahaha. Oh, well. I am TORCHING calories. And really, that's all I care about!

Friday: Talked my sister into babysitting for an hour so I could hit the gym for a mid-day workout. Did some intervals on the treadmill. 5 min warm up. Ran for .25 mile. Took it to an 11.0 incline for 5 mins. Back down to 3.5 incline and ran for .25 mile. Back up to a 13.0 incline. Down to a 1.5 incline and sprints for a min. Real quick workout, but I burned about 350 calories.

Saturday: Did a morning session of Zumba. The clock was broken so the instructor kept us going an extra 15 mins. Which was fine with me. We did a bunch of squats, some push ups and mountain climbers. I totally got my sweat on.

Well, that is 5 DAYS IN A ROW, of working out for me.

That is really good for me. I am loving it. I just really hope to start seeing some physical results, other than just my emotional high right now. I am glad to be getting more healthy, and I am trying to focus on that right now. I know that if I keep doing what I am doing, that my body will start to react and I'll get the results I am working for!

  1. Haha you are right that I read this!! It reminds me to get off my dang butt and keep track of what I'm doing. As far as exercise I've been doing really good, but every since Valentines day Brock and I threw our diet out the window, so I've got to get back on track with that!! Today we're starting to chart it, so I'm probably gonna put it up on my personal blog I've been neglecting!
